I am a good Father, the Father of lights, the giver of all good gifts. I know how you long to walk in the fullness of the Spirit and how you long for more. Remember to seek Me above any gift, or you will become corrupted by it. Sin longs to master you, but you must master it.
Never think My gifts are for you or about you. They are to glorify Me and draw people to Me. Steward them well and never touch the glory for it belongs to Me. Remember the humility of Moses. He recognized that he could do nothing without Me. Develop and cultivate the fear of the Lord.
Remember, I can use anyone, anywhere, anytime, for any purpose that I choose. You must be holy as I am holy, but it is not your good works that makes you eligible for My gifts of grace. I give gifts freely as I choose. If you are given more, then you are accountable for more. To whom much has been given, much will be required.
James 1:17 English Standard Version (ESV)
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
Matthew 7:11 Amplified Bible (AMP)
If you then, evil (sinful by nature) as you are, know how to give good and advantageous gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven [perfect as He is] give what is good and advantageous to those who keep on asking Him.
Romans 11:29 The Voice (VOICE)
You see, when God gives a grace gift and issues a call to a people, He does not change His mind and take it back.
Luke 12:47-48 The Passion Translation
47 “Every servant who knows what pleases his master yet does not make himself ready and refuses to put his master’s will to action will receive many punishing blows. 48 Every servant who does not know his master’s will and unwittingly does what is wrong will receive a less severe punishment. For those who have received a greater revelation from their master are required a greater obedience. And those who have been entrusted with great responsibility will be held more responsible to their master.”
