It is My will for My children to excel and do great Kingdom exploits. Just as I raised up Daniel, I am again pouring out great favor on My people. For you were created to do great things, it’s in your DNA.
Do you notice how most children imagine themselves to be a superhero? You were created to overcome evil. You were created to rescue others from the enemy. Unfortunately, many of My children believe it is wrong to pursue greatness. I created you in My image and My likeness for this very thing. The problem is not in wanting to be great and do great things. The problem is in your definition of what it means.
For greatness in the Kingdom is pursued through childlike faith and servanthood. Laying down your lives in order to serve one another is one of the greatest things that you can do.
Jesus went around doing good and destroying the works of the devil by healing the sick, casting out demons and setting the captives free. He went to the lowest of the low because He understood true greatness in the Kingdom of God, faith expressed through love to all. Follow His example.
Psalm 8:2 Contemporary English Version (CEV)
With praises from children and from tiny infants, you have built a fortress. It makes your enemies silent, and all who turn against you are left speechless.
Matthew 20:24-28 The Message (MSG)
24-28 When the ten others heard about this, they lost their tempers, thoroughly disgusted with the two brothers. So Jesus got them together to settle things down. He said, “You’ve observed how godless rulers throw their weight around, how quickly a little power goes to their heads. It’s not going to be that way with you. Whoever wants to be great must become a servant. Whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave. That is what the Son of Man has done: He came to serve, not be served—and then to give away his life in exchange for the many who are held hostage.”
Matthew 23:11-12 Living Bible (TLB)
11 The more lowly your service to others, the greater you are. To be the greatest, be a servant. 12 But those who think themselves great shall be disappointed and humbled; and those who humble themselves shall be exalted.
