Nothing can separate you from the love which is in Christ Jesus! You can never measure up, so quit trying. You will never be able to earn My love. Do not go to one extreme or the other; feeling prideful when you are doing well, or feeling bad about yourself when you fail. It is by grace that you have been saved, not by works of righteousness, lest any man boast. Boast in the Cross alone!
Rest in My saving grace; that power to overcome any and every evil tendency. Remember to quickly admit your spiritual poverty, and then believe I will supply the grace that you need. Feelings are not to be relied on. Obedience is the key. It will bring peace, joy and rest for your soul.
1 John 4:16-17 Living Bible (TLB)
16 We know how much God loves us because we have felt his love and because we believe him when he tells us that he loves us dearly. God is love, and anyone who lives in love is living with God and God is living in him. 17 And as we live with Christ, our love grows more perfect and complete; so we will not be ashamed and embarrassed at the day of judgment, but can face him with confidence and joy because he loves us and we love him too.
Isaiah 61:1 Contemporary English Version (CEV)
The Spirit of the Lord God has taken control of me! The Lord has chosen and sent me to tell the oppressed the good news, to heal the brokenhearted, and to announce freedom for prisoners and captives.
Matthew 5:3 Amplified Bible (AMP)
Blessed [spiritually prosperous, happy, to be admired] are the poor in spirit [those devoid of spiritual arrogance, those who regard themselves as insignificant], for theirs is the kingdom of heaven [both now and forever].
James 4:6 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)
But He gives us more and more grace (power of the Holy Spirit, to meet this evil tendency and all others fully). That is why He says, God sets Himself against the proud and haughty, but gives grace [continually] to the lowly (those who are humble enough to receive it).
